The Six Largest Whale Species Found on Earth

Blue Whale (Balaenoptera musculus)
The blue whale is the largest animal on Earth and the largest whale species. Adult blue whales can reach lengths of up to 100 feet (30 meters) or more and weigh as much as 200 tons.

The fin whale
The fin whale is the second-largest whale species and the second-largest animal on Earth. Adult fin whales can reach lengths of around 85 feet (25 meters) and weigh up to 70 tons.

Bowhead whales

Humpback whales are known for their long pectoral fins and elaborate songs. They can reach lengths of 40 to 50 feet (12 to 16 meters) and weigh up to 40 tons

Gray whales are known for their migrations, traveling long distances between feeding and breeding grounds. Adult gray whales can reach lengths of 40 to 50 feet (12 to 15 meters).

The sperm whale

The sperm whale is the largest toothed whale and the largest predator on Earth. Adult males can reach lengths of about 50 to 60 feet (15 to 18 meters), while females are typically smaller.
